replynever is designed around ephemeral voidcasts. This policy explains the data we process to operate, secure, and moderate the service. We do not promise absolute anonymity, and we do not claim that no data is collected.

1. What We Process

• Submitted voidcast text during request processing and in the immediate response to your browser for local decay display.
• Short-lived ambient metadata such as signal time, expiration time, vibe, frequency, decay seed, moderation status, and event type.
• Hashed IP/user-agent-derived fingerprints for rate limiting, abuse prevention, dedupe, and moderation telemetry.
• LocalStorage preferences in your browser for vibes, vibe intensity, and frequency.
• Admin-only CSRF/session cookies when an administrator signs in.
• Hosting logs and basic connection metadata generated by our infrastructure provider.

2. Raw Voidcasts

Voidcasts are designed to decay. Raw transmissions are not kept as permanent public records by the application. They may be processed in request memory and returned immediately to the submitting browser for local-only display. Refreshing the page loses that local display.

3. Cookies And Local Storage

Anonymous visitors receive a CSRF cookie used to protect form submissions. Administrators may receive secure session cookies for admin access. Vibe preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage keys such as replynever:vibes-enabled, replynever:vibe-intensity, and replynever:frequency.

4. How We Use Data

We use data to operate the site, validate submissions, enforce rate limits, prevent spam and abuse, calculate void weather, provide local effects, maintain admin moderation tools, comply with law, and protect the service.

5. Public Visibility

Voidcasts may create short-lived local or ambient effects. Public/global views show metadata such as recent signal timing, vibe, frequency, and void weather, not permanent author identities or permanent message archives.

6. Third Parties

• Google Fonts (VT323): your IP address may be sent to Google when loading fonts.
• Hosting Provider: hosting infrastructure may log standard connection metadata.

7. Retention

Short-lived void signal metadata is configured to expire and be purged. Abuse-prevention rate-limit buckets and hosting logs may persist for operational and security needs. Legacy account/session/transmit tables may remain in place for admin-only or deprecated historical operation until safely retired.
